Mobile Phone Masts

The effects on health of mobile phones and, more pressingly, mobile phone masts has still not been adequately explained. I fully support the moves to stop these masts being erected in areas near housing, schools, and work-places.

We must be certain when permission is given for these sites that health is the number one priority considered. I have supported a number of constituents’ concerns on this issue, and will continue to do so.

Local people must be fully consulted, and Local government needs guidance from the Government on this issue, and I will continue to press for a statement which will ensure that residential and populated areas are simply no-go areas for such masts.
