Meetings in Westminster This Week
Tuesday afternoon was spent in the Chamber listening to the debate on the Criminal Defence Service Bill – I intervened 6 times.
I also made an intervention during oral questions to the Minister of State for Constitutional Affairs where I asked her about industrial action taken by barristers. For further information and to read my speeches please click on http://www.jeremywright.co.uk/parl.php
On Wednesday I had a meeting with our new Party Leader David Cameron to discuss his leadership and his new vision for the Party.
I was then delighted to meet a group of constituents from Coventry who were guests of my colleague Caroline Spelman, MP for Meridian – they had been on a tour of the Houses of Parliament and were then meeting their local MPs for a Q&A session.
On Wednesday evening I attended the Parliamentary Carol Service in St Margaret’s Church Westminster.
